This year, I'm running another half-marathon and raising money to help teach America's children about fitness and nutrition. I feel like a healthy lifestyle enriches every other part of a person's life and it seems like each generation spends more time inside eating processed/fast food. It is crucial that we teach America's youth how to stay healthy and try to cut back on children's obesity. Team Future is an organization that promotes healthy living among today's youth. I am trying to raise $500 by November to give to Team Future so I can do my part to help the children of our country lead a happier, healthier life.
Fitness and nutrition have always been very close to my heart and I've tried to share my knowledge and motivation with others. It makes me sad to know that they are constantly cutting down the number of Physical Education classes in schools and focusing less on personal health and more on standardized tests in the classroom. A child's health should not suffer just because school budgets are cut or someone wants to reallocate educational resources by taking away a program that enriches the children's life.
Right now, I'm just beginning my training for the November race and I remember how motivating it was to see my donations rise last year. If you'd like to contribute to my fundraising page (and be a part of a child's future), please visit click here to visit my fundraising page. and make your donation. Any little bit will help.
Below are two pictures from my race last year. It was a blast!
