Bedtime routine usually involves bath time, story time, and then laying down with him in our king-sized bed until he falls asleep. Here's a little snippet into how my thoughts went last night....
8:04 - Toddler is bathed, teeth are brushed, we said our good nights to Daddy... maybe bedtime will go smoothly tonight because I'm exhausted
8:10 - Gosh, I just love bedtime story time. How cute is he when he tries to "read" to me? His Santa impersonation is priceless.
8:20 - Okay, I've read this book 6 times. Does he ever get tired of it?
8:22 - Yes! Lights are out. Sleepy music is on. Let's do this.
8:27 - How did he manage to make that pillow fort??
8:35 - He needs to stop flopping around
8:40 I have finally conquered him. I have him snuggled in my arms and he's rubbing his eyes. Its just a matter of time.
8:45 - Why do kids like to stick their fingers in people's noses?
8:46 - And pull hair?
8:50 - How did he manage to squirm to the other edge of the bed so quickly?? Why did I ever think doing bedtime was sweet??
8:52 - He's next to me again and talking away. I wonder how long before he loses his voice...
9:00 - Silence. Is he asleep?? I don't want to move if he isn't....
9:05 - OMG how cute are babies when they sleep?? I just want to snuggle with him. I'm so glad I get to do bedtime - it's really the best.
