I'm still adjusting to working longer days at my new job and with the short days and longer hours, I not only get home tired but it's also nearing sundown.
Needless to say, I have many factors contributing to my lack of motivation to get on a consistent training schedule for my upcoming half-marathon (so excited about that but I can always use blog material so that'll be a later post).
To give me constant reminders and motivation, I printed out the picture above and put it up at eye level next to my computer at work. I look at it all through the day and right above it is my training schedule written on the calendar.
Now on days like today, I'm probably not going to do the 3+ mile run outside because it's just bad weather (rain is expected about the time I get home and I'm just too much of a baby to run in 34 degree rain) but instead of curling up by the fire the second I get home, my poster has motivated me to do an hour of yoga for runners before settling into my evening routine. I guess constant reminds can help motivate. Even if it is guilt forcing me to work out tiday...
For my fellow teammates, I hope you find motivation to train tonight even if it is cross-training. For the rest of you, try a daily motivator. It does work!
